Without faith…

November 17, 2014

One of the traps of satan is to get you to stop believing. Believing goes beyond dreams, aspirations and different things you’ve planned in the fabric of your mind. But belief, in the core of who you are and whose you are. As believers, we have to remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. One passage we went over in Sunday school is Hebrews 11:6.

Hebrews 11:6New International Version (NIV)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Without faith, it is impossible. There is no middle ground there. There’s no way under, there’s no way over….it is, impossible. In the midst of the impossible, we must take note of what is written, and what is not. Without faith. It does not say, without your understanding, feelings, thoughts, plans, etc. But, it says, without faith. This is a potential stumbling block, but if you believe in God and in His power and in His might, this literally propels you into beyond what you understand to be the possible.

You can go beyond your past mistakes, the different stumbles you’ve had. You can overcome your paycheck or lack thereof. You can be healed of that hurtful relationship. You can find peace, love and joy. You can overcome fallen dreams and walk in the power of the Cross. It’s when you realize that in fact you can’t and that God can, that the obstacles that are in front of you can be seen as propellers. Your success isn’t determined by who does or doesn’t like you, but Who loves you.

It’s my prayer on today that you be encouraged, knowing that as a child of God, you can do all things through His strength. Rest in Him, turn to Him, knowing and believing that He’s working it to your good. It’s in faith that it becomes possible to truly walk in freedom, in the power of a relationship with our loving savior Jesus Christ.
