The Powa! of Prayer

March 21, 2012

Something I’ve been thinking on as of late is building an intimacy with God. One of the ways to accomplish that is through the powa! aka power, of prayer.

1. Prayer helps you meditate on the Lord, rather than the problem.

2.  Through prayer, the Lord gives direction.

3. You are then empowered to complete His will.

When you take your eyes off of any given problem, and place your focus on your source, you’re on your way to breakthrough. As you turn your focus to your source, Jesus will help give you direction no matter the circumstance that you are facing. As we turn to Him, we can begin to find that we connect with His promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. We meditate on His word, His promise specifically made to us at any given moment and circumstance, and it’s in that place that He will empower us as overcomers. Through the trials and valleys, we get to know His nature, His mercy and grace that much better. Don’t run from the problem, but run to your source.
